A project of conventional housing, though well-resolved, and strict regulations, though well-interpreted.
A single entrance, located right at the corner, divides the building in two. This entrance extends from the street facade –where a suspended glass and steel staircase is located– to the rear facade. It is a cut lit from both sides: every time we head towards the stairs or elevators, we can see both the public street and the private communal space. This spine of the building is manifested on the facade through a perforated sheet of concrete projecting over the sidewalk.
The required transition from six to five floors was handled with elegant discretion, and the duplex houses located on the corner, with terraces every two floors, add a certain charm to the facade.
We took special care to organize the usual chaos that technical elements (stairwells, elevator machineries, installation rooms, shunts...) introduce into the roof.
