When Ricardo Bofill rebuilt the current Terminal 2 of Barcelona Airport, he recommended me for the design of Iberia's VIP waiting lounge. Knowing the agony of waiting hours in such places, I tried to design a relaxing and functional space for all the tasks that could be done there: reading, working, making phone calls, taking a nap... My proposal was unified by the challenge of designing all its elements specifically.

Thus, all the furniture was designed by me, even the pattern of the carpet. The lounge was divided into different areas that, while not fully enclosed, offered various levels of privacy depending on the use; there was a television area, high tables, low tables with sofas, a bar area, intercommunication zones, and personal work modules with computers to connect. The bathrooms were luxurious, and there was even a Gaudí mirror in the women's restroom.

The lounge turned out to be luxurious and convincing, much more than the existing ones from the same company, and at a lower cost. Obviously, Iberia didn’t ask us to design any more.
