An urban planning project stemming from a compromise between the developer Núñez y Navarro and the City of Barcelona.
The challenge was to resolve the large number of single-family homes required by the developer and accepted by the regulations, with vehicular access to each, scaling the steep slope of the Collserola foothills, without destroying the landscape. We proposed a series of attractive and peaceful pedestrian streets, following the horizontal contour lines, situated above the semi-buried roads for vehicle circulation. An intimate, porticoed garden for each home.
After years of disputes with the City Council and a breakdown in our relationship with Núñez, the company carried out part of the project without our supervision and with little respect for the original design.
