La Pedrera, Barcelona
Coinciding with the World Congress of the International Union of Architects held in Barcelona, this exhibition—splendidly curated by Juanjo Lahuerta—showcased the master's interrelationship with architecture, a discipline that always interested him and of which he had a very personal vision, through his painting and his own houses.
Unlike all the exhibitions located on the main floor of La Pedrera, we made a special effort to display as much of Gaudí's work as possible (patios, balconies, ceilings, etc.), a work that Dalí deeply admired and proposed as the headquarters of the Ministry of Imagination.
Numerous Dalí works that paid homage to architecture were exhibited. We reproduced architectural details that appeared in his paintings in three dimensions. We created a diorama of Mae West's bedroom and some interesting models of the evolution of his house in Port Lligat.
