It consisted of an extension for a small building nestled between party walls, located directly across from the historic Bocaccio nightclub in Barcelona. We decided to leave the ground floor area as it was, preserving it as an untouched preexisting structure, similar to the adjacent buildings, and focused solely on the extension. To emphasize this choice, we chose a lacquered metal sheet façade, in clear contrast to the surroundings, as if the new construction had been built separately and then dropped on top from a helicopter. We wanted to make a radical statement!
