Some excerpts, reinterpreted decades later, from the project report:

1. Urban considerations regarding the remaining buildings to be constructed in Plaça Nova:  

We imagine the buildings yet to be built as extremities of the old quarter, not as walls that obscure it.  

The small chamfers in the official alignments –which seem to us to be caricatures of those of the Ensanche– lack any tradition in the old quarter, where all turns are at angles or rounded.  

In the proposed building we recovered the rounded corner, projecting a cantilever that completely masks the legalistic chamfer.  

The new building will not compete with the radical image of the current College, but rather intends to go unnoticed, aware of its modesty.

2. Treatment of the Facades:  

The facade on Arcs Street will be of the same color as that of the Real Círculo Artístico, its neighboring facade. The facade on Boters Street, including the curved corner, will be made of material similar to that of nearby houses.

3. Organization of the Office Floors:  

The layout will be in split levels, allowing for growth from one floor to another through half-floor shifts that preserve visual communication between departments. Additionally, the placement of the stairs and elevators next to the central void will allow for a full perception of the interior.
