During the Salone di Milano, the magazine Interni organized "Interni in Piazza," an exhibition spread across various locations in the city. It featured seven interventions by international architects about contemporary habitat: Mendini, Eisenman, Fuksas, Klein & Dytham, Krier, Tschumi, and myself. My proposal – titled "La Casa Ideale" – was very minimalist but at the same time impactful: a prism of 8x6x5 meters, internally designed as a receptacle for the memory and life of its inhabitants.
My intentions were clearly expressed in my introductory text:
“My house will have windows, not a curtain wall; several spaces, not a single space; different furniture, not just one piece (the Corbu chaise-longue); various styles, not minimalism; paintings, not bare walls; family memories, not total amnesia.”
The prototype was built in the Piazza degli Affari with prefabricated structure by RDB and furnished with pieces from Driade.
