In 1997, after about thirty-five years of artistic activity, I decided to create a non-profit foundation. In addition to organizing architectural interest trips and promoting cultural activities, the most relevant objective of the Fundación has been the preservation, study, and dissemination of my work whether architectural, design-related, pictorial, or literary.

In 2016, Lluís Clotet and I decided to donate the documents of our architectural work—drawings, plans, photos, and written records—to the Arxiu Històric del Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya. However, the rest of my work—drawings, plans, models, and prototypes of designs, all my paintings, my literary work, and our art collection—remained under the care of the Fundación.

Our most important external activity was the creation of the Premios Década, which lasted for ten years, from 2000 to 2009.

The 2008 construction crisis severely impacted our studio and our sponsors (particularly the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya), and we had to focus on internal activities. Currently, we have increased the preservation, cataloguing and exhibition of works in our collection, acquired missing pieces from the market, improved our headquarters to make it accessible, organized our library, and completely overhauled the website.

The Fundación’s board is made up of a maximum of fifteen friends—architects, designers, an economist, a notary, my wife, and my two children. Its composition has changed somewhat over the years, either due to the resignation of a board member or an unfortunate passing.
