Aleph-Driade y Kettal
As its name suggests, it was a reclining armchair, ideal for lounging and taking a nap. Derived from the Banco Peineta, this sinuous seat was foldable and had an adjustable inclination. Driade produced it during a period when they were very interested in manufacturing in the East, but later on –like almost all my products– it disappeared from their catalog.
Many years later, Kettal showed interest in reissuing it for a high-end French company they had just acquired. Together with their head of design, Antonio Navarro (a talented designer who worked in my studio for several years), we reexamined it to produce in a workshop in Indonesia. We completed it with a small armchair and a table-pouf. It was an interesting family of furniture, but it never went into production.
