Bd Barcelona Design
Starting from the profile of the Banco Catalano (an outdoor bench, designed twenty years earlier, that had become a classic of Spanish design), I redesigned this wooden bench for indoor use. Since the seat's ergonomics seemed practically unbeatable, I focused my design efforts on the support legs. Through an ingenious profile, the legs allowed the modules both to be stacked and to be linked side-by-side to form rows. As a complement, I also designed a low table module and a support for hanging the set on the wall, freeing up floor space.
