Returning to the technique of the Fina Filipina, I designed this chair as a weave that descends down the backrest, creates the seat, and continues into a skirt that holds the front legs. The width of this band remains constant, but the backrest arches to accommodate the back while the lower skirt curves to allow room for the feet (an essential movement to stand up).
