Our project reflected great harmony, admiration, and respect for the industrial and architectural relic we encountered and from which we began our work.

We created the new entrance from the street by simply removing the lintel of the lower window, expressing this change with a metal sheet and glass canopy, which I believe is the best part of the project. We preserved and highlighted the old mahogany doors, as well as the bars and façade carpentry. The old interior cornices, which did not align with the new partitions, were left in place as a testament to the previous layout. The new opaque divisions did not reach the high ceiling, but large panes of glass allowed this contrast to be visible. The air conditioning system was suspended freely from the ceiling.

Nothing was discarded; everything was reused. It was a layering process, ensuring that the most recent addition did not obscure the earlier ones—a commitment to preserving memory.
