A hotel that was to be opened for the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. For various reasons, construction was halted for several years until it was decided to add an adjacent hospitality school that could operate in conjunction with the hotel. Finally, both the hotel and the school opened in 1995.
The project’s main virtue was its location perpendicular to the Ronda de Dalt, which places the rooms on one side or the other, always with views, but never facing this urban highway. This way, both the north-facing orientation and the significant visual and acoustic impact of the traffic were avoided.
