Two triangular-shaped halls as an extension of the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, now an icon of the city. A completely different language, material, and colors from the original building. The upper floor is dedicated to exhibitions and congress events; the lower floor for conferences, presentations, and chamber concerts. The foyer, with its glazed facade and ceiling, separates –visually– and connects –functionally– the new halls to the main building. The seats in the auditorium stalls are hidden in the floor to keep the space open and allow for other uses. An innovative mechanical system allows this operation to be completed in three minutes.
