Together with Ricardo Bofill, we decided to make a film for the Pequeño Congreso of 1968 (one of the informal meetings of leading Spanish and Portuguese architects that were held periodically), which that year took place in Tarragona. We shot it on Super 8 in the streets of Barcelona and in Oriol Maspons’ studio. We edited it by hand at the Taller de Arquitectura, splicing the negatives with acetone.
I disagreed with the title, as we both liked the city and I think the film ultimately contradicts it. But Ricardo had the final say.
