House situated occupying an enviable site overlooking the sea. The brief was very concise: a house for living in all the year round, with spacious, varied rooms, using traditional durable materials, and with a sloping tiled roof. Far from feeling constrained, OTB felt in tune with this idea of a traditional large house as opposed to the "machine à vivre" of rationalist architecture. The ground-plan is organised on a square to which various extensions are attached, both horizontally and vertically. On the upper deck there is a gallery, which also serves as a guest room. Porches and sloping Arab tiled roofs in the local red earth colour are used throughout. It is an architecture which pays tribute to that of the Indianos of the region at the beginning of the 19th century.
