"A manifesto against garden city regulations which, on tiny plots, stipulate that building should stand back three metres from the street. For this reason, the exterior façades are totally opaque, perforated only by the entrance and the slit that lets light into the kitchen. Even the bathrooms receive lighting via skylights. The inner garden, divided into areas for the parents and the children, has trees and lawn; the outer strip is just gravel. We wanted to prove that the building would be much better positioned beside the street. We were so young!"
