The most advanced winemaking technology is housed in a complex of brick buildings that evoke the traditional image of Catalan wine-producing cooperatives. Chandon wanted to experiment with a building in which the making, bottling and ageing of cava took place on the same level. With this aim, we helped to find a vine-growing terrain with a slope so that part of the complex (the cellars) could be sunk, leaving on view, with good lighting, the areas that do not require darkness or stable temperatures (pressing, bottling and offices). The vineyard complex was laid out along the axis that begins at the old farmhouse and runs along the tree-lined approach, the courtyard, the lake and the restaurant.
