It is a bourgeois, luxurious- looking piece, particularly the model which is upholstered in the same red velvet as the seats in Milan's La Scala opera house. The legs are inspired in a Modernist chair at the Lucas Carlton restaurant in Paris, hence the name of the piece. It is in designing such pieces as this that OTB is truly in his element, freely expressing his penchant for evoking history, whilst clearly putting his own individual stamp on the work.
